International Warranty Programs are limited to 2 years for new tools.

To Our International End-User Customers Outside North America:
PLS lasers are sold by authorized dealers throughout the world. These are independent PLS dealers with their own support network and service capabilities. International prices for PLS lasers will be influenced by costs of importation and currency exchange rates. We strongly recommend that you purchase your PLS laser from a local, indigenous PLS dealer. We caution you not to expect a laser purchased outside your country to be covered under warranty by a dealer within your country. No PLS dealer is obligated to service a PLS laser purchased outside their own country or even from another PLS dealer. Of course all PLS lasers will be serviced when sent directly to PLS in San Rafael, California.

Beyond the 3 year warranty period PLS will exchange any PLS tool - no matter the age – at a discount off retail through the PLS ETN program.
ETN exchange tools carry a one year warranty. ETN tools can be exchanged direct from the PLS factory or with a participating PLS dealer.
 
Here is how it works:

  • ETN tools are to be sold or exchanged only with acceptance of a nonfunctioning/out of calibration tool from the end-user.
  • Non-warranty ETN exchange units are sold to the customer at a flat rate. The original non-warranty tool is properly disposed of after the exchange by authorized dealer or PLS.
  • Warranty ETN exchanges are claimed back to PLS with return of defective tools. Tools claimed under ETN warranty must be within one year of customer’s original purchase date and cannot show any sign of obvious abuse (significant impacts, broken glass, battery acid, etc…).

You may download a Return Material Authorization (RMA) form (see “End User Return Form” PDF file below).  Please send the tool, along with any relevant paperwork (RMA number, if you have obtained one, proof of purchase, if applicable, contact information, requests for new accessories, etc.) to our address:

We will contact you, normally by fax or email, with cost of the ETN exchange and request for a VISA, MC, AMEX, or DISCOVER number.  When the non warranty exchange has been approved by our customer, the replacement ETN will be shipped out by UPS ground.  Should the exchange be covered under our standard warranty, we will ship the tool within five days. Please note: Some of our lasers may be on back order and may take a little longer to exchange. 
Please keep a note of the serial number for tracking convenience.  If you have any other questions, please call and ask for our service department.  Your local dealer may have ETN exchange tools in their stock to assist you locally and faster than sending the tools to PLS in California.  In the rare instance where a PLS tool fails within 30 days of purchase, the authorized PLS dealer will replace the defective tool with a new tool.
